Description

Controlling the pH level in your pool is critical for:

• Swimming safety (too acidic or alkaline can cause skin and eye irritation),

• The effectiveness of disinfectants,

• Protection of pool equipment and surfaces from corrosion or scale.

Recommended pH range for the pool:

7.2 – 7.6 pH – the optimal level for comfortable and safe swimming.

How to measure pH in pool water:

1. Before first use, rinse the electrode with distilled water and dry it with filter paper.

2. Remove the cap and turn on the device, then place the device in the liquid to be measured up to the level of the closed cap.

3. While stirring gently, wait for the results on the display for about 30 seconds.

4. After use, rinse the electrode and turn off the device.

5. Always store the device with the cap closed.

Calibration:

1. Pour 250 ml of distilled water into clean containers (you can use a scale and weigh the water).

2. Pour one of the powders into each container: 4.00, 6.86.

3. Mix and wait for them to dissolve completely. Then pour the finished solutions into a glass bottle.

4. It is advisable to maintain a temperature regime of 20÷25 °C.

5. Open the device lid, rinse the electrode with distilled water and wipe dry.

6. Pour the required volume of solution with pH 6.86. In this case, the liquid should reach the level of the closed lid. Place the device in the solution. Press the CAL button and hold for 5 seconds. Wait until the readings on the display are fixed.

7. Rinse the electrode with distilled water and wipe dry.

8. Add the required volume of pH 4.00 solution. Then repeat the calibration procedure.

9. Rinse the electrode with distilled water and wipe dry.

10. Always keep the buffer solution bottles tightly closed when not in use.

11. Discard used calibration solution immediately after calibration is complete. Never put used buffer solutions back into the bottle.

12. The shelf life of the solutions is 1 month from the date of preparation.
